  • Prices quoted on sales proposals are guaranteed for 15 days.
  • Payment in full is required before order is processed.
  • Prices and payment in USD.
  • Shipping and Handling is an estimate, is subject to change, and is nonrefundable.
  • All additional costs of delivery, including but not limited to customs clearance, duties, storage, are the responsibility of the client.
  • Upon receipt of shipment, inspect shipment and make note of any damage on the delivery receipt. Take pictures of all damage to the box/crate. Do not discard any packing materials or items. Do not refuse package. Notify Detroit Garden Works immediately and submit pictures. Failure to follow these procedures or delay of inspection may result in loss of claim.
  • UPS required photos for damage to the box – during the photo documentation process, seven different photos will be requested:
    – A photo showing the damaged item and how it was packaged inside the box
    – A photo of the damaged item
    – A photo of the packaging material used
    – A close-up photo of the shipping label with tracking number (generally starts with 1Z)
    – A close-up photo of the box manufacturer’s certificate (round stamp on outside of box)
    – Two photos showing all six sides of the package (one showing top and two sides, another showing bottom and opposite sides)
    Dimensions of the box, including the package height, length and width will also be needed.
  • Direct ship from manufacturer, direct import, custom orders, and sale merchandise are a final sale and cannot be returned, cancelled or changed once placed.
  • We have no control over vendors’ production, international, nor domestic shipping. Lead times are not guaranteed.

Return Policy

Shipped Purchases

  • Purchases shipped may be returned in their original condition, within 10 days of receipt for store credit. As we are a seasonal business, a request to return a shipped item after 10 days of receipt will be subject to a 20% restocking fee. We do not accept returns of items shipped after 15 days of receipt. Return packing, shipping and insurance are the responsibility of the purchaser.

In-Store Purchases

  • In-store purchases may be returned in their original condition, with a receipt, within 5 days of date of purchase, for store credit.

Merchandise Exceptions

  • Direct ship from manufacturer, direct import, custom orders, and sale merchandise are a final sale and cannot be returned, cancelled or changed once placed.
