These French, rope-formed pots are available in two sizes. Each pot is formed by hand. Rope is wrapped around vertical wood staves to give the internal shape and to support the pot during drying. A profile cut-out to the external shape of the jarre is set up parallel to the core, and using this, the jarre can now be "counter-moulded", applying the clay by hand, maintaining the correct thickness and the exterior form. Each pot has garland decoration and ivory enamel. Roy Soleil is a combination of two French words, Roy means King and Soleil means Sun.

This model, inspired by the Italian Renaissance, adorned the gardens of the Palace of Versailles according to legend.
