Very Long Stone Trough

$6,900

An antique stone trough from West Gloucestershire, divided into two with a central partition and now raised on three dressed stone blocks. This is an unusually long pig feeding trough which would have covered two pigscots and was probably originally built into an external wall so that the pigs could be fed from outside the pen. This trough is now drilled through the half round base for drainage and makes a fine raised planter for flowers or alpines. Price and dimensions are for the trough and supporting blocks together.

19th century
100" x 16" x 24" tall
