There are about six thousand long eared owls in The United States, and fifty thousand in the whole world. This owl sculpture is cut, shaped, welded and painted entirely by hand in Harare, Zimbabwe. Great care is taken to achieve resemblance in morphology, color and attitude of the real creature.
