We build forms for winter arrangements from dry floral foam. This foam does not absorb water. The foam is cut to fit snugly into the container to be filled. We glue 2 layers of foam together such that the lower sheet fits in to the pot, and the upper portion sits above the rim of the pot. This enables the placement of greens to the side, and on an angle. Once a form is built, you can reuse it the following season. Lower the soil in the container prior to the soil freezing.
