Antique Scottish Stoneware Trough
This antique stoneware trough is of Scottish origin, although its original use is unknown. Rob thinks it may have been used as a feed trough for livestock. The stoneware has a dark red brown lustrous finish. The symmetrical holes on the short sides do not go through to the interior of the trough, so chances are this trough had wood handles at one point. It is water tight, making it an ideal setting for a prized water lily, or a basin for a small water feature.
