Antique English Lefcoware Pedestal
This 19th century English Lefcoware pedestal with flower detail on four sides is glazed. The pedestal also has areas of blackened patina, suggesting it was exposed to the weather during the Industrial Revolution. There is some damage to the lower corners. The Leeds firm of Wilcox and Co merged with 5 other firms in 1889 to become the largest clay working company in England. Lefcoware was introduced in 1912.
