Detroit Garden Works has made a spectacular collection of garden furnishings, containers, and ornament available to its clients, regular as rain, for the past twelve years. Established in 1996 by Deborah Silver, to complement a thriving landscape design practice, and named in 2004 one of the top 25 garden stores in America by Garden Design Magazine, she assembles each season’s collection with the help of store buyer and manager Rob Yedinak.
Multiple buying trips in multiple countries has made for an always exciting and provocative mix of the antique, vintage, modern, and contemporary. A considerable collection of terra cotta-whether classic handmade Italian, glazed French, or English stoneware- is complemented by antique American pieces, contemporary Belgian orangery boxes, classic English lead, and iron and stone pieces of various provenance- making for a container collection of astonishing range.
Garden furnishings in iron, stone, concrete, and acid washed steel offer the discriminating gardener many choices of style and period. You can routinely expect to find unusual structures, fountains, sculpture, ornament and ephemera. Seasonally, we offer fine plants, topiary sculpture, select landscape materials, and holiday décor. Our staff is attuned and able to assist.
As our inventory is constantly changing, take advantage of a staff concerned about garden ornament specific to your needs. Should you not see exactly what you need-we design and fabricate in a variety of media via our subsidiary, Branch. Our service is as stellar as our collection-we promise.
