Vintage Salmon Trap
These aluminum wire traps, also known as 'putchers,' were set in a fixed wooden frame against the tide in a river estuary. These came from South East Wales, and are circa 1920. These traps have long since been banned in the fishing industry, but they could easily be repurposed as a sculpture or plant climber in a contemporary garden.
Would be ideal for sweet peas.
